Sprint 1 Week 1: Working on the Pond

Hello, this is Chen Shiyu. And this is how I drew the Pond.

Here is the final look, but let's start with how I started.

I first started with googling pond pictures. Looking at park ponds, cartoon ponds with ducks, realistic ponds, well decorated ponds. And I decided to go for a realistic feel. This is the reference image I used.

I first started working on the rocks beside the pond.

Then I drew the water in the pond.

And that's how I drew the Pond.
