Sprint 4: The Complete 3D Look

Finished up the modelling and texturing of the Beavers Dam, last section of the environment.

Here is a top down view.

So after the maze and pond, I worked on the trees in the surrounding and then on the Beaver's Dam.

The trees were prefabs from the Unity Asset store and I just re-textured them:

First I just used light green as a base color,

Then I chose a darker shade for the shadow

Then I used a yellowish green for the leaves on top reached by sunlight:

Then I chose a brown shade for the trunk:

And tadaa we have the end product:

Next object modelled and textured was the beaver's dam:

Started with a simple cube and extruded it into how I thought a log / stick would look like:

Then I piled the logs together:

Then I cut lines into sections of the log and shift their positions a bit, to make the log look less stiff:

In order to get the shade of brown and type of wood texture I want, I layered a few different wood textures, and toggled with the opacity and colored over others.

And that's it, the completed 3D environment!
